The Ponytail Palm, botanically known as Beaucarnea recurvata, is a unique, slow-growing plant with a swollen trunk base (caudex) that stores water and long, arching, ribbon-like leaves resembling a ponytail. Despite its name, it is actually a succulent, not a true palm. It is extremely hardy and perfect for both indoor décor and low-maintenance outdoor gardens in Perth.
