Java Plum is a beautiful evergreen tropical fruit tree prized for its delicious dark purple to almost black fruits and glossy green foliage. The fruit has a unique sweet, mildly astringent flavour and is widely enjoyed fresh, in juices, jams, desserts and traditional recipes. This long-lived tree also makes an excellent shade and feature tree, producing masses of fragrant white flowers followed by heavy crops of fruit.
