🌱 Description
Aloe plicatilis is a distinctive, branching succulent with fan-shaped arrangements of blue-green leaves. As it matures, it can develop a small tree-like form, making it an excellent architectural feature plant.
In late winter to spring, it produces attractive tall spikes of coral-red to orange flowers, which are highly appealing to nectar-feeding birds.

☀️ Care in Perth
Position: Full sun to part shade. Morning sun or filtered light can be beneficial in very hot locations.
Soil: Excellent drainage is essential. Sandy or gravelly soil is ideal.
Water: Water regularly while establishing, then reduce watering once established. Allow the soil to dry between watering.
Fertiliser: Feed lightly in spring with a low-nitrogen succulent/cactus fertiliser. Avoid heavy fertilising.
Pruning: Remove old flower stems and damaged leaves. Mature plants generally require little maintenance.
