Description
Botanical name: Citrus × microcarpa (Calamondin)
Common names: Cumquat Calamondin, Calamansi, Philippine Lime
A compact, evergreen citrus tree prized for its glossy green leaves, highly fragrant white flowers, and small round orange fruits. The fruit has a tart, tangy flavour, widely used in drinks, marmalades, sauces, and cooking. Excellent as a potted plant or small garden tree.

• Height: Approx. 1.5 – 3 m in the ground
• Pot-grown: Commonly 1 – 1.8 m
• Spread: About 1 – 2 m
(Can be kept smaller with pruning — perfect for patios and balconies.)

• Full sun for best flowering and fruiting
• Minimum 5–6 hours of direct sunlight daily
• Sheltered from strong winds

• Well-drained, fertile soil
• Slightly acidic to neutral pH
• For pots, use a premium citrus potting mix

• Water regularly, especially during flowering and fruiting
• Keep soil moist but not waterlogged
• Reduce watering slightly in cooler months

• Feed with a citrus fertiliser every 6–8 weeks during spring and summer
